Frequently asked questions
Which platforms do you work with?
Shopify and WordPress. On Shopify we build themes, Hydrogen storefronts, and apps. On WordPress we build content sites on componentized Timber themes with ACF, and host them on our managed platform.
How do engagements work?
Most work is a scoped project with a fixed price and a clear deliverable. Ongoing clients move to a monthly retainer for improvements and support. We also offer advisory hours when you need a second opinion, not a build.
Are the products separate from the consultancy?
They come from it. Every product started as something we built for a client more than once. Consulting clients get them first, and product customers get support from the people who build them.
Do I have to use your hosting to work with you?
No. Managed hosting is for WordPress sites and is optional. Shopify sites live on Shopify. We recommend our hosting when a site uses Inks, because we control the environment it runs in.
What size of business do you work with?
Brands doing roughly $1M to $50M a year, and agencies that serve them. Small enough that the founder still cares about the site, large enough that it has to work.
